Attention singers: Any student wanting to be in After School Chorus needs to sign up on the Chorus room door. Sign up ASAP because the first rehearsal will begin after school on Sept. 8th 3:20pm until 4:10pm. This class is open to all students who love to sing and wish to be a part of the PCHS Mass Choir. It is a special class for all students who couldn't get chorus in their schedule. The choir will be involved in 2 festivals and concert performances throughout the year. If you love to sing this is the place to be!! Any questions, see Ms. Hiddle.

Attention Advanced Singers, Sign Up for Vocal IMEA Auditions! If you are wanting to audition for the prestigious IMEA All-District and All-State Choirs you MUST sign up by Friday, Sept. 10th on the chorus room door.

All entries for those auditioning must be registered by Sept. 15th, so don't wait until the last minute. Auditions for this include scales, sight-reading and prepared pieces. Only advanced singers should apply. Any questions, see Ms. Hiddle ASAP afternoons in the chorus room.

The first Spanish Club Party is Sept 9th from 5-7 pm at the West Lake. Spanish students should sign up in Miss E's or Mrs.K's room.

Operation: Medicine Cabinet (and Car Wash), Saturday, September 11 from 10am to 1pm. Drop off your old prescription and over the counter drugs for safe disposal. You clean your cabinet, we’ll clean your car! Two locations for your convenience: In Paris at Citizens National Bank, East Branch and in Marshall at Lincoln Trails Ford on Route 1.

A representative from the University of Illinois will be here on Sept. 15 at 9AM to visit with students interested in U of I. If you need a pass see Guidance.

A representative from Eastern Illinois University will be here on Sept. 16 at 1PM. If you are interested in EIU, come to Guidance for a pass.

A representative from Lake Land College will be here on Sept. 21, at 12:15pm. Come to Guidance if you want a pass to talk with her.

A representative from McKendree College will be here on Sept. 27 at 11:30AM to visit. If you are interested and have questions about McKendree, see Guidance for a pass.

SENIORS- Those wanting to retake the ACT on Oct. 23rd should pick up a packet from Guidance. Deadline to mail is Sept. 17, 2010

Anybody who would like to bring a non-PCHS student to the homecoming dance needs to see Mr. T in Room 13 by Friday, Sept. 10th

Anyone interested in playing boys basketball this year should attend an important meeting with Coach Nugent on Monday, September 13th at 3:45 in the PCHS Library. Please attend this important meeting. We will discuss team shoes and the schedule for conditioning.

IT IS NOT TOO EARLY TO BE THINKING ABOUT PROM...IN FACT MRS. PHEGLEY & MRS. GARZOLINI-SKELTON HAVE BEEN PLANNING SINCE LAST MAY!! IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING PART OF THE 2011 PROM COMMITTEE, YOU CAN PICK UP YOUR APPLICATION FROM THE GUIDANCE OFFICE. APPLICATIONS MUST BE TURNED IN TO MRS. SKELTON September 7th.

PowderPuff t-shirt sign-ups will be in the class sponsors’ rooms. Pay $8 when you sign up to get your t-shirt. The class sponsors are: Mrs. Terrell for the Freshmen, Ms. E or Ms. P for the Sophomores, Mrs. Skelton for the Juniors, and Mr. Doughan or Ms. Seaton for the Seniors.

Juniors who would like to sign up to play or coach powderpuff, or just order a T-shirt, can do so in Mrs. Skelton's office or Mrs. Phegley's classroom.

Powder Puff football is just around the corner. Any SOPHOMORE girl wishing to purchase a T Shirt and/or play PowderPuff football needs to sign up in Miss E's room. Any SOPHOMORE boy interested in coaching needs to sign up in Miss E's room.

SOPHOMORES will have their first PowderPuff football practice on Tuesday, Sept 7th at the West Lake by the big pavilion. Practice will be from 6:30pm - 8:00 pm. All paper work must be signed and ready to turn in before you can participate.

A St. Mary of the Woods College Representative will be here on Sept. 20 at 9:30AM. Anyone interested in meeting with her should contact the Guidance office for a pass.

All FFA Members: our first FFA meeting of the year is at lunch on September 8th! We will be discussing upcoming events, fundraisers, national convention and lunch is provided. Sign up for lunch in Mr. Cox's room and Freshmen and Sophomores need to make sure they sign in first!

Any FFA members interested in Forestry contest need to sign up in Miss Hewitt's room. The first Forestry practice will be September 8th at 4pm at Schwartz park.

Any girl interested in playing basketball, there is open gym Sept. 9th from 7 to 8:30pm and Sept. 11th from 1 to 3pm.
