During the week of April 11-15 Anti-Bullying Club would like your support to help raise awarness of the bullying problem we face at our school. You can show your support by dressing the following ways:
Monday: College T-Shirt Day "Let your future be bright without bullying!"
Tuesday: Camo "Don't let bullying be invisible!"
Wednesday: Mixed Print (think mixed matched) "Bullying is not fashionable!"
Thursday: Tropical "Life is more relaxing without bullying!"
Friday; Tiger Pride "PCHS takes a stand AGAINST bullying!"

Beginning April 11, there will be a bake sale in the cafeteria during lunch. Proceeds will benefit Relay for Life.

The Illinois National Guard of Paris will be here during lunch on Wednesday, 4/13/2011, during the lunch hour. They will have a table in the mail hallway.

STAR Leader applications are due to the office by Friday, April 15th.

University of Springfield, Springfield, IL, representative, Leigh Brannan, will be here for a visit on 4/15/2010 @ 11AM. Anyone wanting to speak with her needs to come to Student Services for a pass.

Any boy interested in playing high school this summer, please sign up on the sheets across from the office ASAP. Sheets will be taken down April 13th. Also, there is a copy of the summer basketball schedule on the board for you to look at. There will be a meeting to hand out summer schedules on Sunday April 17th at 7 pm in the library. Students interested in trying out for PCHS Colorguard should turn in applications and waivers to the office by Tuesday, April 5th. PCHS Colorguard tryouts for flags and dance will be held for girls and boys on April 7th and 8th. Please stop by the main office to pick up information and an application.

Gregory Leskov won the 200 back stroke event this weekend and has qualified for state.

The PCHS Bands are raffling off a laptop computer this week to help pay for a new trailer! See Mr. Tripp, any band, or dance team member to purchase tickets. Tickets are $1 for one and 6 for $5. Tickets will be sold during lunch at the end of the lunch line every day this week. This is a $500 laptop! Specifics on the laptop are available at the raffle ticket table.

We will be exploring the tropical rain forests and national parks of Costa Rica.

Week of January 10th

Boys’ Tennis Conditioning will start back up on January 10th. Mondays and Wednesday – weights. Tuesdays and Thursdays – Conditioning. Please try to attend!

Softball conditioning started Sunday Jan. 8 and will continue to be held on Sundays from 9 to 11 am in the cafeteria.

Attention FFA members: Our first membership meeting of 2011 will be Thursday at lunch! Please make sure to bring your $1 for lunch!

Paris Scholars $1000 scholarships are now available for all students in grades 9 through 12. See your English teacher for a copy of the application. Five students in each grade will receive $1000 each. Applications are also available in the library. If you have questions, see Mrs. Wegner.
